Oktoberfest Feast in Berlin

A gourmet German banquet served beer hall style

Originating in the Bavarian city of Munich in 1810, Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in the world. Today, this popular food and culture festival is celebrated all over the world including in Berlin, a city considered by many as Germany's culinary capital and the "European City of Culture."

 

In Champaign, we will celebrate this festival season with a traditional German banquet served beer hall style at a community table. Join us for an evening of authentic German cuisine paired with imported wines, Oktoberfest cocktails, and of course beer.

 

Here's what's on the menu for this festive evening:

 

• Pretzels with Obatzda • Bavarian beer dip with Camembert
• Sausage Platter • beer brats, smoked brats, Black Forest sausage, weisswurst, Bavarian mustard, creamed horseradish
• Bavarian Sauerkraut • apples, bacon, caraway seeds
• Schwarzbrot • black German rye bread
• Schweinshaxe • crispy pork knuckle with beer gravy
• Knödel • traditional bread dumplings
• Rotkohl • red cabbage with apples
• Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte • Black Forest chocolate torte with cherry schnapps
• Bavarian Coffee • peppermint schnapps, whipped cream, chocolate shavings
• Specially selected wine, beer, and cocktail pairings all evening long, plus a few surprises!

 

 

Note: All of our pop-up events are all-inclusive prix fixe dinners. This means you get a multi-course dinner complete with beer, wine, and other beverage pairings all evening long for one fixed price. Unlike at restaurants, all taxes and tip are included as well.
